4Marketers AB ("4Marketers", "we", "us", "our") operates this website and online store at 4marketers.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you visit our website, purchase our services, or otherwise interact with us.

4Marketers is powered by Shopify. Some personal data is also processed directly by Shopify as an independent data controller, as described in Section 7 below.

We are the data controller for the personal data we collect and process as described in this policy. Our legal basis for each processing purpose is specified below, as required by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") and UK GDPR.

2. Personal Data We Collect

2.1 Data you provide directly

       Name, business email address, company name, and job title when purchasing or contacting us

       Billing information processed via Shopify Payments (we do not store card details on our own systems)

       Email address when signing up for communications or submitting a contact form

       Reviews and feedback submitted via Judge.me

 

2.2 Data collected automatically

       IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected via Google Analytics (GA4)

       Professional profile data and site interaction data via LinkedIn Insight Tag

       Order and interaction data processed by Shopify Network Intelligence as part of Enhanced Services (see Section 7)

       Cookie and session data as described in Section 6

 

3. How We Use Your Personal Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes, on the legal bases indicated:

 

3.1 Delivering our services

Purpose: Processing your purchase, delivering the agreed analysis output, and managing your account.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

 

3.2 Payment processing

Purpose: Handling payments securely via Shopify Payments.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

 

3.3 Transactional email communications

Purpose: Sending order confirmations, delivery notifications, and service updates via Shopify Email.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

 

3.4 Marketing email communications

Purpose: Sending promotional communications about our services via Shopify Email.

Legal basis: Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

 

3.5 Customer reviews

Purpose: Collecting and displaying customer reviews via Judge.me.

Legal basis: Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you choose to submit a review.

 

3.6 Website analytics and improvement

Purpose: Understanding how visitors use our website and improving our services, using Google Analytics (GA4) and LinkedIn Insight Tag.

Legal basis: Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), obtained via our cookie consent banner before analytics cookies are set.

 

3.7 Advertising and retargeting (planned)

Purpose: We intend to run targeted advertising via Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads, including retargeting, in the near future.

Legal basis: Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). These channels are not yet active. We will update this policy and obtain fresh consent via our cookie banner before activating them.

 

3.8 Legal compliance and fraud prevention

Purpose: Complying with applicable legal obligations, preventing fraud, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Legal basis: Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

 

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal data with the following service providers, solely to the extent necessary for the purposes described above:

 

Shopify Inc.

Our e-commerce platform. Shopify processes data as our data processor for store operations and, where Enhanced Services are enabled, as an independent data controller. See Section 7 and https://privacy.shopify.com for details.

 

Google LLC (GA4)

Website analytics. Data is pseudonymised and aggregated where possible. Transfers outside the EU/EEA are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses. See https://policies.google.com/privacy

 

LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company

Analytics and campaign measurement via LinkedIn Insight Tag. Transfers outside the EU/EEA are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses. See https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

 

Judge.me

Review platform. Processes names and email addresses of customers who submit reviews. See https://judge.me/privacy

 

Shopify Apps

The following apps are installed on our store and may access order or customer data to the extent required for their function: PageFly Page Builder, Pify Cart Attributes, SendWILL Email Popups, Flow, Exemptify, HelpLab FAQs Page, SEOWILL (SEOAnt) AI SEO, and Messaging. Each app operates under Shopify's Partner Program terms and its own privacy policy.

 

Meta Platforms (planned)

We intend to implement Meta Pixel for advertising in the coming months. This will be disclosed in an updated version of this policy before activation, and will be governed by consent obtained via our cookie banner.

 

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for the following periods:

       Purchase and transaction records: 7 years, as required by Swedish bookkeeping law (Bokforingslagen)

       Account and contact information: for the duration of the business relationship and up to 3 years thereafter

       Analytics data (GA4): 14 months (Google Analytics default retention setting)

       Marketing consent records: until consent is withdrawn, plus 3 years for documentation purposes

       Review data (Judge.me): until you request deletion

 

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. When you visit from the EU, UK, or EEA, a cookie consent banner is displayed. Non-essential cookies are only set after you have given your consent.

 

Strictly necessary cookies

Required for the website and checkout to function correctly. No consent required.

 

Analytics cookies (require consent)

Google Analytics (GA4) and LinkedIn Insight Tag, used to understand how visitors interact with our site.

 

Marketing and advertising cookies (planned, require consent)

Meta Pixel and Google Ads conversion tags will be implemented in the near future and will only be activated upon consent.

8. International Data Transfers

Our primary service providers store data within the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA (for example, by Google or LinkedIn), such transfers are governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved transfer mechanisms, ensuring your data receives an equivalent level of protection to that required within the EU.

If you are located in the EU, UK, or EEA, you have the following rights under GDPR:

       Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

       Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data

       Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations

       Right to restriction: Request that we limit our processing of your data in certain circumstances

       Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format

       Right to object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests, or object to direct marketing at any time

       Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing

       Right to lodge a complaint: Contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at www.imy.se, or your local supervisory authority

 

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@4marketers.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

 

10. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Shopify Payments and is not stored on our own systems. While we strive to protect your data, no method of internet transmission is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

11. Children

Our services are directed exclusively at business customers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

 

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when we activate new tools such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads retargeting. Material changes will be communicated via our website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
